Mark's Triple H Shotgun
Shotgun Ready to Hunt! Notice the intensity and focus on his face!
Shotgun was a nine year old CKC registered solid red male Bloodhound.
He had a very dark red coat and a gentle nature. He was a personal use downed-deer man tracker that was not for hire, but I did track for friends and family.
Shotgun was the runt of his litter and picked because he had such a
deep red coat. Looking at him now, it's hard to believe he was ever considered a
runt as he weighed in at 100 pounds of solid muscle. He was very powerful and had
a strong body and nose. While he was eager to hunt and track he was equally eager
to please. He was trained by my hands and has never shown a hint of aggression.
He loved to wrestle and play with me in the yard, but when we hit the wood-line he was all buisness.
This is the first Bloodhound we owned, purchased as a birthday present
for me by my wife. He is still holding my heartstrings, and the only "Man of the
House" allowed on Hamilton HIll ! Shotgun has numerous downed deer finds to his credit..
Shotgun passed the summer of 2015. While we are known for our deep red coloration, the old man has moved on to greener pastures.
He will be missed.
