Well now they are eight weeks old and almost all gone! We have had a tremendous response to this litter and quite frankly, I don't think the kids are ready for them to be gone! WE have recently added a black and tan male, Bryan Jaspar (BJ) to our collection and that has helped them let the puppies go. Not real sure how well Shotgun is going to like the new addition, but he's always been like, "Whatever!". We only have two precious babies remaining from this surprise litter, but Belle is due for a litter, If we decide to allow it! Thanks to everyone who has allowed one of our babies to enter your homes- we have been well pleased with their new families and grateful for the interactions we've had with those families. Thanks again- Mark

That's one proud papa! Shotgun looks like he's mighty proud of these new babies! He and I went for a nice walk through the surrounding woods this weekend and he wanted to track live deer! I had to convince him hunting season was over and bring him home. As for the puppies, first shots administered today along with an additional worming! Crazy weather we're having sleet and mixed snow today and back to 73 this weekend! Pups don't seem to care, they just like chewing on my pants- legs! Trixie and Shotgun surprised us with this litter of eight in late December! We will post individual pictures as soon as they are available! Thanks for checking in with us! Looking forward to hearing from you soon! Three weeks old and already have three orders! These babies are proving to go as fast as their former siblings. Enjoyed spending time this weekend with future Bloodhound owners! looking forward to having one of our pups in their loving home! Can't wait to meet the new homeowners for the rest of River's siblings! They are starting out on soaked kibble this week and will get another worming tomorrow as they hit four weeks old! WOW! For a surprise litter, time is really flying!
That's it for 2013! We Have sold all of the puppies we will have this year, and are not planning for any more until spring of 2014. We had a wonderful time with these babies and are looking forward to the next litter(s). As many of you already know, we don't run a puppy-mill and only allow our girls to have one litter per year. We truly believe it keeps the girls healthier. We would like to thank everyone who has sent us pictures of you and your new babies and wanted to let you know we will be posting a few of them in the near future to our testimonials page for everyone to enjoy. Thanks again- The Staff of Hamilton Hill Hounds Thanks Ms. Goodale! We love to hear from our new owners and are excited to share
your comments with our readers. We would also love to post pictures of your pups as they grow. Bloodhounds love the outdoors and can be a handful when they decide to follow their noses. We recommend a good harness for those outdoors times. I use a thirty foot horse lead when Shotgun and I go out tracking downed deer. This allows me to keep a good hand on him but also gives him a little room to follow his nose too. Thanks again for your post! -Mark Well that about does it for this year! Almost all of our babies have left us for new homes and while we are saddened at their departure, we are really proud of the people we have met who have taken them into loving homes. We have only two babies left and one of them is leaving us tomorrow. We have enjoyed these babies immensely and can't wait until next year when we just may decide to have another litter. These guys worked us like crazy, bottle feedings to supplement them, feeding three and then twice a day, cleaning the pens daily and several trips to the airport. I think we have learned not to have two litters at once again! Thanks for all the compliments and for sharing the pictures as they grow!-Mark
WOW! It seems like just a few days ago we were overloaded with puppies and now over half of them have found new homes. =:( We did however enjoy meeting many of the new parents over the weekend and feel really good about sending out our puppies to their new homes. We think they all are going to great homes where they will get plenty of tender loving care. A few might even get treated better than I do! I think there will be some spoiled Bloodhounds in the next few weeks. LOL! Zoey seems to have approved of the people she met, which makes it easier for us when the puppies leave. I really appreciate everyone taking the time to listen to her versions of how the puppies are to be treated. It makes us all feel good about releasing them to you guys. Please keep in touch and send us pictures as they grow. Send us a note if you want us to publish the pictures on our website. Thanks again for your kindness. God Bless!- Mark

We are having a lot of fun with these puppies, but they are also keeping us really busy. I told Mark the other day that I wish I had time to record some of the funny things these puppies do, they are certainly entertaining. For example, when I first started feeding puppy food to Trixie's puppies, red/yellow couldn't get where he wanted so he climbed on top of everyone else and stuck his head down in the middle of everybody else....LOL. They all have different personalities, but are special in their own way..... we are going to miss them when they leave! Zenda
Boy have we had a busy Week! We have had Vacation Bible School every evening, Zenda taught the elementary kids while I worked with the teen group. We didn't get to bed until midnight several nights this week! I apologize for not responding to your emails daily, but things have slowed down a little now, and we should be able to get back to you on a daily basis again. You all have been very patient and yet eager for information. We welcome your questions and appreciate your continued support and we search for good homes for these new babies! Thanks
Today marks three weeks old for Trixie's babies and that means it's time for another worming! Zenda spent an hour with them to ensure each puppy received the exact amount. That requires her to administer the dosage to each puppy individually. They are doing very well and have started eating small amounts of dry food after we soak it in formula to soften it up some. Already four of these babies have new addresses and are waiting until they are old enough to leave our home. While the kids are excited to have them here, they are also already dreading the day they have to leave us. They are beginning to show individual personality traits. It is so much fun to watch them playing
